i completely forgot about this film.
the merchant ivory film for guys.
this was the best film of the year.
i love how the oscars nominated casey afleck as the co-star.
the movie is about robert ford and how everything he did was over shadowed by jesse james even his death and assisination - no one cared about robert ford. point being casey afleck was the star - not the co-star - but he's over shadowed by brad pitt... so funny.

solos - filling a space and owning a space...
everyone's initial reaction is to do - to fill up the space but to do may not necessarily be the right thing to do.
a solo can be thought of as a recognition of necessity as oppose to sound producing action.
own the space
even if it means you don't do anything.
a solo is a question of authority, self discipline, recognition of limitations of technique.

art - looking back for the future - elizabeth a grosy
art is an animal.
it comes from something excessive in the world.
art is an animal. art is bound up with two features that characterize all animal existence.
1. sexual selection. attention, attraction, performance, courtship.
2. force of territorialization. the loosening of qualities from the milieu in which they originate and function through the construction of a boundary or frame within which these qualities can exist in different forum.
art is of the animal precisely to the degree that sexuality is artistic. sexuality needs to function artistically to be adequately sexual - harness exessiveness and invention to function at all.
art is a way living beings deal with and enjoy intensities from chaos(natural world).
but art is not simply the expression of an animal past but the transformation of the material from the past into resources for the future sensations not available now but to be unleashed in the future on a people now ready to perceive and be affected by them.

what am i eating...
stopped in at the corner deli to get a pint of ice cream to engulf. but there was a small package of chocolate donuts that called my name. of course i had to get some milk but the deli didn't have any small cartons, just giant jugs. who the hell drinks that much milk? so now i was looking at the cereals so i can finish the jug. i haven't had cereal since i was a little kid... now i'm eating cereal everyday and i love it. oh and also buy giant jugs of milk...
